Activities to Commemorate the Anniversary of the Establishment of Rajamangala University of Technology

On January 18, 2025, Associate Professor Piya Prasongchan, Vice President of the University, presided over a merit-making ceremony along with executives, faculty members, staff, and students to commemorate the anniversary of the establishment of Rajamangala University of Technology.
His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, King Rama IX, signed the Royal Act of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya on January 8, 2005. This Act was officially published in the Royal Gazette on January 18, 2005, during the 9th day of the waxing moon in the second lunar month, Volume 122, Part 6 Gor, marking the establishment of nine new Rajamangala Universities of Technology. These universities were formed by combining the existing units of the Rajamangala Institute of Technology with the aim of providing education, promoting academic and vocational excellence, and advancing higher education.
Associate Professor Piya Prasongchan placed a floral offering before the royal portrait, lit incense and candles as part of the ceremonial offerings to honor His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, and paid respects to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua. The ceremony included expressing gratitude for the benevolence of King Bhumibol Adulyadej. This was followed by a merit-making event, where dry food offerings were made to nine monks at the multipurpose hall of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Songkhla.
